– Edsby to soon be available on Microsoft Azure in Canada with data resident in Canada –
ONTARIO, Canada (May 10, 2016) – Microsoft Canada announced today that the Microsoft Cloud is now officially open to power even more Canadian organizations. With this announcement, Microsoft Azure is generally available from local datacentre regions located in Toronto and Quebec City, and Office 365 is now offering data residency for Canadian organizations.
This announcement marks a significant expansion of Microsoft’s trusted cloud services into Canada. Azure and Office 365 customers gain the benefits of Microsoft’s cloud services combined with data residency in Canada. This includes data redundancy in multiple locations within Canada for business continuity and the option of a fast and private connection to the cloud with Azure ExpressRoute.
Edsby is making its popular social learning system for K-12 school districts available in Microsoft’s Canadian Azure facilities in time for the 2016-2017 school year. Edsby will also be available on Azure in the U.S. for American customers. It is also being made available in Azure data centres in Australia, Europe and elsewhere as part of a global relationship with Microsoft.
