Edsby video review by MindShare Learning

“Edsby’s pretty much thought of everything,” said Tim Gard of MindShare Learning in a video walkthrough of Edsby

The edtech events and media company MindShare Learning took a look at the Edsby K-12 LMS in a recent broadcast. Timothy Gard, Edtech Pedagogy lead, and Robert Martellacci, President and Publisher, reviewed Edsby in an edition of the company’s Unboxing Edtech video feature.

Gard and Martellacci were impressed with the scope of the Edsby K-12 LMS, which was designed to be a single application educators could live in all day to perform virtually all required tasks, from attendance to assessments to parent communication and official reporting.

“Edsby alleviates congestion in the office area at report card time. You can produce your own report cards right within Edsby. Everything comes through Edsby’s built-in assessment and comprehensive gradebook, which I love,” said Gard.

“It’s quite comprehensive, quite powerful,” he said.

“To be quite frank with you, I’d be hard pressed to come up with something that’s not in here. I’ve looked at a lot of LMSes. And I give this one two thumbs up. I’m astounded by it. It’s a great platform.”

Gard and Martellacci were also impressed by Edsby’s clean interface compared to other systems educators are required to use.

“It’s a very modern learning management system. It’s very easy to use, easy on the eyes, and very coherent and cogent as a platform,” said Gard. “It doesn’t create that cognitive overload that some systems do … it has that social media-like feel that makes it easy and seamless and powerful for students, teachers and parents.”

“With Edsby you get a sense of where the student started, where the student is at, and where the student is going,” said Martellacci.
