Edsby puts information where it’s supposed to go
Edsby lets you publish grades directly to students and parents
Edsby keeps parent & student calendars up-to-date
One of the great things about letting Edsby help is that you only have to do things once. When you put assignments, events and field trips on the calendar in your classes, Edsby will automatically copy them onto the calendars of each student. When parents log in, Edsby will give them access to the same information.
Edsby tracks the status of every assignment
Student calendars will automatically show the status of every assessment you create. Not only will this alert students and parents to work in process, but Edsby also allows you to flag overdue and incomplete assessments too.
Edsby shares the Subjective Performance Indicator with parents
The Subjective Performance Indicator (SPI) in your Edsby Gradebook is a great tool that you can use to indicate which students are at risk. While this setting will not be shown to the student, Edsby will share it with the student’s parents and also with your colleagues.
Students can always access the class, parent access is optional
We know that some teachers want the parents of students enrolled in a particular class to be able to have limited access, so we’ve added this ability to Edsby. Just check the option on the class setup form and parents will be able to enter the class, see the conversation, and access the course plan. However, parents will have read-only access and will not be able to post any message. Of course, they’ll never have access at all to your private gradebook.
Edsby notifies parents via email or SMS
Because not every parent has the same preferences and communication tools, Edsby has been designed from the ground up to support the communication method designated by the parent.
