Right from your home screen, you can jump into any of the classes you are teaching. The class is the heart of how Edsby helps you manage your school content and communications.
Edsby helps you follow the class conversation
Each Edsby Class is centered around the conversation that is taking place in that class. As you post notes, create assignments and assign homework, these events will automatically be shown in the conversation.
Edsby facilitate class discussions
Students can easily ask questions and post information in the class conversation, facilitating open sharing of information. Unlike email, which is a closed and anti-social medium, Edsby conversations allow even shy students to learn from the questions of others.
Edsby helps manage assignments and homework
Right from the conversation, you can create homework and assignments, with due dates, marking schemes and additional resources.
Edsby keeps parents and students in the loop
Every Edsby Class has a calendar built right in. The calendar will show all of the assignments and homework, as well as indicating the class timetable and room assignments.
When you put assignments or homework in a class calendar, Edsby will automatically copy them onto the calendar of every student in the class. And it actually gets even better, because at the same time Edsby will also place the event on the home screen of the parents of all of the students of the class, too. It’s just what you’ve always wanted, and only Edsby does it for you.
Edsby helps emphasize important items
With a single click, you can pin important items. Every time someone enters the class, Edsby will make sure that they appear right at the top.
Edsby manages files automatically
When you upload files or videos to the class, Edsby automatically places them in the class library for easy access. With a few clicks, you can create class collections and galleries.
Edsby helps with course planning, too
Every Edsby class also includes a course plan. Easily create units and lessons, including references and links to useful resources for students and parents. As you teach, you can indicate which unit is currently being taught or show that a unit has been completed. Just another way that Edsby help you keep parents and students in the loop.

Edsby classes also have a face cloud showing all of the students registered in the class. At the beginning of term or for substitute teachers it’s fabulous.
Edsby puts you in control
With Edsby, the teachers don’t just participate in the class, they control it. As the teacher, you can edit or delete any message or file in the class without having to call the IT department. It’s easier for you, it’s easier for everybody. And if you want to, you can let parents come into your Edsby classes so they can see things like the course plan and the class conversation. On the other hand, you might prefer a closed class. Edsby leaves the choice up to you.
